A question about my social media paper?
*angel from the dark* asked:
My professors say my Intros and Conclusions are WEAK
and I always get a 95% on my essays ![]()
Can somebody read these and tell me if they are weak?
Intro:
The rising popularity of social networking sites are rivaling for consumption and putting strain on the business aspects of companies in the television and print industry. Internet usage is now cutting into the expenditures of traditional media, such as television and print. With young people spending increased amounts of time online, social networking sites are on the rise and are offering new outlets to marketers. Advertisers now attempt to market their television shows, movies, and print ads effectively through social media sites, such as Facebook and MySpace, in hopes of reaching younger audiences and as a result, have been successful.
Conclusion:
In conclusion, the facts have been presented to clarify the effective movement from traditional media to social media. Social networking sites have opened new doors for advertising in hopes of reaching the younger audience. As a result, they have gained the attention of the older audience. The once popular 20th century inventions are integrating into the Internet and the advertisers who are smart enough will keep following in order to make revenue. The weight of ad money has been slipping off the ship of traditional media and going to the web. Conventional marketers stuck in 20th century marketing standards would be lucky to even find a life boat.

A friend of mine proposed I start a blog and he be the web developer. What’s a reasonable split for profits?
Damian asked:
I have no idea how much time it takes to write a blog versus creating, maintaining, and editing it (keeping up with and implementing the latest developments in internet technology and the blogosphere). My friend says he has 10 years of experience with web development and could provide all of the “internet marketing, e-commerce, blogging, search engine optimization, web application development, social networking, social media optimization, graphic design, interface design, copywriting, etc.” He proposed splitting the profits from ads, affiliate links, etc. 50/50 and letting me keep 100% of the profits I get from referrals for my private counseling business, but 50/50 feels too high. What do you think is a reasonable percentage split of profits? Would you recommend splitting profits, or having some other business model (flat fee, hourly pay, etc.)? And any suggestions on how to fashion a prearranged buyout agreement in case we decide to split ways in the future so I can retain the site?

Extreme Plastic Surgery | 16 year old; male - Risks, Cost, Surgen?
April M asked:
Hello,
And I am in need of some Extreme Plastic Surgery.
I would like to get the following:
Rhinoplasty - 10,000
Lip Reduction - 1,500
Chin Reduction - 10,000
Jaw Surgery - 15,000
Skin Care - 1,000
Relaxing of some upper face muscles - 1,000
Teeth Whitening - 1,000
The shaving of some cheek bones - 10,000
Here are some pictures:
http://img209.imageshack.us/img209/157/f…
I figure this will all be about 50,000.
I figured if I got some loans or something for carecredit.
60 Monthly Payments; 11.90% APR$1,110
It would only be like 66,000 after it was all paid with just the payment of 1,110 a month.
I figure, that’s only about 40 dollars a day, for the next 60 months.
I am getting into online Marketing, Adsense, Marketing on Social Networking; so 40 dollars a day is basically making a sale a day on clickbank or something; if you know what that is.
I was also wondering, are there ways of getting a spouncer?
Now please,
I don’t want anything like Micheal Jackson.
I just want every aspect of my face, refined and tuned up.
I am not looking for like a new face percé.
I just want everything that I have better.
Please and thank you for any information you may have.
Thank you.
As for my chin and jaw.
I just want things a little smaller and moved a few mm.
I don’t know if my little wants in these procedures will effect the price. It’s not like want anything major, and I don’t know if my little tweaks will bring down the overall price.
However, one of the things I want most are Rhinopplasty and my lips smaller, just so things don’t look fake. Then, from there I will fine tune up the other places of my face I think I need some work.
However, I know what I want done, How I want things moved and placed.
I just need to find a top plastic surgeon that knows what he is doing.
I really don’t care about the cost, I only have one face, and I would like this face in the hands of the best! I am not worried about the high price tag. However, fin finical help of any sort would be wondering. I am not too concerned about it.
Where do you think I could get some finical help, and finding the correct surgeon?
Here is how I would like the Rhiniplastyto go
http://img529.imageshack.us/content.php?page=done&l=img529/3444/afterrv3.jpg
I don’t think this is asking to much.
I think what I want done can be dine with a good surgeon and enough money.

What are the best ways to market a new online social networking community?
quizboy2000 asked:
I plan to start a business social networking community. The target group is professionals, any kind of professionals from CEOs to stay at home Moms. I’m confident about the quality of the site itself. But how do I get people there in the beginning, and how do I grow the site actively?

Ditch 10 Facebook friends, get a free sandwich. Good marketing strategy?
JIM asked:
In the last month, the Burger King folks have drawn the attention and ire of the blogosphere—and generated a boatload of free press—for their catchy, if somewhat bizarre, advertising tactics. And they’ve just done it again. (Yes, we’re begrudgingly complicit.)
First, BK came out with a “meat-scented cologne” called Flame that, alas, smelled nothing like meat. Then there was the controversial TV ad campaign in which Whoppers and Big Macs were taken to far-flung corners of the planet and given to wide-eyed denizens to taste test. Guess which burger won.
Now, Crispin Porter + Bogusky, the advertising firm behind BK’s campaigns, has created a Facebook application called “Whopper Sacrifice.” How does it work? Drop 10 friends from the social networking site in exchange for a free Whopper coupon. (The rejected friends then get a message telling them they’ve been sacrificed for a sandwich.)
Is it wise to promote a product by attracting one customer while potentially alienating 10 others?
“It’s all meant as tongue-in-cheek,” said Tia Lang, director of media and interactive for Burger King. “I mean, if I had 300 friends, there are probably 10 or so people I’m not so close with. But overwhelmingly, we see people getting the joke.”
Unless you were one of the 198,850 unwitting victims tossed into the flame-broiled abyss as of Monday evening. As I was.
Well done, Burger King. You have simultaneously crushed my ego and valued the worth of my friendship, nay, ex-friendship, as one-tenth the cost of a Whopper.
